Each MOMS Club Chapter does their part to help support local charities within their community by participating in at least one Community Service Project per year. The MOMS Club of Woodland Hills does many Service Projects throughout the year. We try to focus most of our effort on organizations and communities in need here in Woodland Hills. Previous Service Projects include canned food drives, school supplies drives, adopt-a-family programs during the holidays, making sack lunches for aid centers, clothing swaps and sales, and direct donations.
SAVING tiny HEARTS SOCIETY
The Saving tiny Hearts Society’s mission is to raise money for grossly under-funded, lifesaving grass roots research of congenital heart defects (CHD's). This seed funding acts as a bridge for this research to millions of dollars of extramural funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH) or other outside funding. CHD's are the #1 birth defect worldwide affecting over 1,000,000 babies every year!
TOPANGA'S ONLY PLAYGROUND
Topanga’s Only Playground is a grassroots fundraiser to build a new community playground in Topanga. The current playground is about 18 years old and in disrepair and our children deserve a safe playground that is exciting and creative.
Haven Hills provides safety and support to victims of domestic violence while working to break the cycle of abuse. We offer shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, and activities supporting increased economic opportunity to victims primarily in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
The Mother-To-Mother Fund is the official International MOMS Club charity, and is supported by donations from the local chapters. Because of donations from chapters and volunteers in the past, we have been able to offer grants for emergency expenses to our MOMS Club mothers suffering from devastating financial and natural disasters.
